I bought a Pre-owned Xbox360 from Gamestop for $250.00, it worked perfectly fine for 4 months. One day I got on to play, and a random message popped up that said, "Sorry, this system cannot be played until your payment subscribtions are up to date". I had no idea what it could be for, since I paid basically full price for the system. I did some Google searches. Come to find out, Microsoft had a deal in the past to sell Xbox360 systems at $99 if you bought 3 years of Xbox Live with it. Whomever pre-owned the system, took the deal and quit paying. No big deal, I'll take it in and have them swap it out.. Nope. Gamestop had put a non-matching serial code Xbox into the package labeled with a different serial, and won't swap it out because the system doesnt match the receipt and label on the box. THEY *** up. It was sealed when they gave it to me. So my receipt matches the package but not the system. They're accusing me of swapping out systems, you can ask anyone in my home, it is the same exact system I brought home from Gamestop. They said a lady in Texas bought the system, I'm in Indiana and know no one from Texas.. I'm an adult, and never stolen or scammed anything in my life, so the assumptions really *** me off. Along with the fact that since they won't do anything about it, I'm stuck with a paperweight the size of an Xbox360. So, from this day forward, I pledge that I will never buy another item from Gamestop, destroy their rep to anyone I can, and to stop as many people as I can from shopping there. It wouldn't have pissed me off so bad had they at least accepted the possibility they screwed up, but nope, it all falls on me. I understand policies, but they need to accept THEIR mistakes also. I didn't switch anything, and have no reason to do so. *** GAMESTOP! DONT GO THERE!
